Kabir Nigam, MD, MRes
Kabir’s journey started as a neuroscience major at the University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Experimental Neuroscience at the Imperial College of London where he worked on one of the first trials using psilocybin for treatment-resistant depression. He completed his MD at Virginia Commonwealth University where he continued to develop his interest in psychiatry. While at Brigham and Women’s, he has been actively involved with research at Dana Farber using psilocybin as an intervention for demoralization in hospice patients. Kabir is interested in psychodynamic therapy and novel interventional techniques that bridge psychopharmacology, spirituality and exploration of the self.
