Alden Doerner Rinaldi, MD
A neurologist and hospice physician at Care Dimensions with an active clinical and teaching practice centered at the Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, Massachusetts, Dr. Rinaldi has academic appointment as Lecturer in Clinical Medicine at Harvard Medical School and serves as site director for the Beth Israel Deaconess-VA hospice and palliative medicine fellowship. Dr. Rinaldi has served as a lead therapist and co-investigator in the Phase II pilot study of psilocybin-assisted therapy for demoralization at end of life for patients enrolled in hospice. As a longtime tai chi, qi gong, and meditation practitioner, his interests include the therapeutic applications of mindfulness practice for patients, caregivers, and clinicians as well as health system integration of psychedelic-assisted therapies into existing models of serious illness care.
